OREANDA-NEWS  Russian units have taken all the heights in the vicinity of Artemovsk, said Igor Kimakovsky, adviser to the acting head of the DPR.

"Our main successes are near Artemovsk. Our guys have already straddled the main heights. There is actually one small corridor left, which is also controlled by us, which significantly hinders their maneuver for the supply of manpower and ammunition," Kimakovsky said on the air of Solovyov Live. According to him, a lot of foreign mercenaries have been spotted in the Artemivsk direction. "These are Poles, French speech, and English speech. There are already units that come from near Lviv," Kimakovsky said.

Last Friday, the acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin said that Russian forces had gained a foothold in the northern part of Artemovsk, cutting three of the four supply routes of Ukrainian troops.

Artemovsk is located on the Kiev-controlled part of the DPR to the north of the large city of Gorlovka, and is an important transport hub for supplying the Ukrainian group of troops in the Donbass.
