OREANDA-NEWS The number of Russian tourists in Tajikistan in 2023 increased by 30 percent compared to 2022. The director of the local mountaineering and tourist base "Artuch", Eraj Mukhammadjon-zadeh, said that the Russians rushed en masse to this country of Central Asia, his comment is quoted by RIA Novosti.

According to the expert, in 2023, Russian tourists accounted for a third of the total number of one million foreign visitors. Mukhammadjon-zadeh also noted that in recent years, travelers from Russia have begun to perceive Tajikistan as a very beautiful country to travel to.

In addition, the director of the camp site expressed hope that in the near future the number of Russian tourists in the republic will continue to grow. Among the attractive locations of Tajikistan, he named the Fan Mountains in the west of the country.

Earlier it was reported that tourists from Russia en masse rushed to rest in Uzbekistan, for the first half of 2023 their number has almost doubled compared to the same period in 2022. According to the Ambassador of the republic to the Russian Federation Botirjon Asadov, the positive dynamics of the influx of tourists from Russia has been observed since the spring of last year.
