OREANDA-NEWS  Russian manufacturers of steel and pipe products shipped 1.59 million tons of metal for export via the Russian Railways network in July, a source familiar with the activities of the railway company told Interfax. This is 7.6% lower than the June figure of 1.72 million tons.

507.3 thousand tons of metal were exported to Europe against 450 thousand tons in June (an increase of 12.7%). The indicator excluding Turkey decreased by 3.6% compared to the previous month - to 224 thousand tons from 232.4 thousand tons. At the same time, Russian steel exports to Turkey last month amounted to 283.3 thousand tons against 217.7 thousand tons in June (+30%).

In July, 160.4 thousand tons were shipped to China and Taiwan, compared with 138.2 thousand tons a month earlier (+16%).

320.6 thousand tons of metal were transported via the Russian Railways network to Mexico last month, compared to 509.3 thousand tons delivered to Mexico and Brazil in June. No shipments were made to Brazil in July.

In July, 442.8 thousand tons of metal were shipped to the CIS countries, which is 5.3% lower than June volumes (467.7 thousand tons).

By appointment, 27.6 thousand tons were delivered to the Asia-Pacific countries (excluding China and Taiwan) last month, compared with 11 thousand tons of metal a month earlier. 107.5 thousand tons were shipped to the countries of the Middle East and Africa against 142.6 thousand tons in June (-25%).

Exports from Russia of iron ore and concentrate in June amounted to 1.3 million tons compared with the June figure of 1.5 million tons. The main volume was traditionally shipped to China - 1.2 million tons (1.2 million tons in June).
