OREANDA-NEWS  Employees of the Russian special services prevented a terrorist act in the city of Berdyansk, Zaporozhye region. This is reported by Izvestia.

The nationalists planned to destroy the transformer substation that provides electricity to most of the city, including hospitals. The saboteurs reported that they had received a task from the Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine. For its successful completion, they were to receive $ 1,000 each.

Operatives have been monitoring the activities of both nationalists for a long time and made an arrest already at the final stage of preparation. The would-be bombers began communicating with Ukrainian specialists on social networks a few months before the alleged date of the terrorist attack. Their task was to place an explosive device at the fence of the substation and activate it.

Earlier it was reported that in the Kherson region, a member of the SBU terrorist cell during an address check by Russian security forces committed a self-explosion and died on the spot. Data on the location of the Ukrainian saboteur was obtained from other members of the sabotage group.
