OREANDA-NEWS  Russian security forces stopped a terrorist attack against civilians in the Zaporozhye region — three accomplices of the Ukrainian troops were detained, two caches with weapons and ammunition were opened, said Roman Kodryan, head of the press center of the Dnepr group of troops.

"The military police units, in cooperation with the law enforcement agencies of other departments, prevented another act of terrorism against civilians in the territories of the Zaporozhye region liberated during a special military operation," he said.

Three accomplices of the Kiev regime were detained, two caches with weapons and ammunition were found. All explosive objects were destroyed at the landfill.

Since mid-February, the authorities of the Zaporozhye region have been recording the construction of fortified areas and the concentration of Ukrainian troops at their borders. The size of the group has already reached 40 thousand people. As Rogov explained, Kiev wants to reach the Sea of Azov and cut the land corridor to the Crimea.

According to him, the APU offensive may begin when the foliage appears, that is, in March-April, but the region is ready to repel the attack.

The Zaporozhye region became a subject of the Russian Federation following the results of the referendum held in September 2022. Kiev does not recognize its results and continues to shell the territory. More than 70 percent of the Zaporozhye region is now under Russian control, Ukrainian troops are holding the regional center — the city of Zaporozhye.
