OREANDA-NEWS  The Russian Railways Company (RZD) has almost completely bought the Moscow Towers skyscraper in the Moscow City business district. Kommersant reports on the deal, citing sources.

Russian Railways has acquired 350 thousand square meters in a building with a total area of 400 "squares". IN the CORE.XP, which acted as one of the company's consultants, confirmed the fact of the transaction. Now the company owns offices with a total area of 200 square meters, apartments and parking for 100 thousand square meters, said the CEO of CORE.XP Vladimir Pinaev.

The remaining areas of Moscow Towers are occupied by retail, catering establishments and other related infrastructure — they were not included in the outline of the transaction. Experts' opinions on the value of the asset differ. Dmitry Klapsha, CEO of the Remain consulting company, estimated the value of real estate transferred to Russian Railways at 160 billion rubles, and Ekaterina Belova, head of the IBC Real Estate Office Space department, at 227 billion rubles.

The main office of Russian Railways is now located on Novaya Basmannaya Street, near the Krasnye Vorota metro station. The building, known as the "Steam Locomotive House", has existed in its current form for about a hundred years. The office of the state-owned company was located there in 2004.

Earlier, Transcat Asset, owned by Pavel Morozov, owner of the Akron industrial holding, bought the Nautilus shopping center in the center of Moscow. The symbol of the Luzhkov era has been unsuccessfully tried to sell for several years. As a result, the deal went through with a multimillion-dollar discount.
