Russian Prime Minister Banned Government Purchases of a Number of Goods Abroad
OREANDA-NEWS. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has signed a decree banning the procurement of certain industrial goods abroad, with the exception of countries that are members of the Eurasian Economic Union.
The list consists of 125 descriptions of foreign goods, including cars and trucks, fire engines, ambulances, cruise ships, oil tankers, helicopters and some kinds of furniture.
The ban does not apply if goods of this or that kind are not produced in Russia. Purchases abroad are permitted for the Federal Security Service, the Federal Protective Service, the Foreign Intelligence Service, as well as the foreign intelligence departments of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard and the Directorate of the President.
