Russian Post Aircraft Made an Emergency Landing Near Moscow

OREANDA-NEWS. Russian Post Aircraft made an emergency landing nearby Moscow's Zhukovsky Airport after almost three hours of working off fuel, the airport's press service told RBC.
According to them, the plane made a regular landing, and no one was hurt.
«The plane with the sensor malfunction of one of the engines landed at Zhukovsky airport at 03:38. The landing was successful. No one was hurt,» the agency's source said.
The plane was scheduled to fly into Yakutsk from Zhukovsky at 00:30. After takeoff, a malfunction sensor of one of the engines was triggered. The crew decided to go back, and was up in the air for about three hours, working off fuel.
The Russian Post planes fly under the flag of Avistar-TU Airlines, which specializes in freight transportation.
On the eve, two passenger planes collided at St. Petersburg's Pulkovo airport. According to RIA, S7 and Ural Airlines had a tangential collision when taxiing on the runway.
According to the Dutch consulting firm To70, in 2019, there were 86 aircraft accidents, eight of which were people killed. In 2018, the number of crashes was 160, with 13 of them dead. The number of victims of air crashes has more than halved: in 2018, 534 people died in plane crashes and in 2019, 257 people died.
