OREANDA-NEWS Russian paratroopers together captured a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near Kursk. This was told by the deputy commander of the airborne platoon with the call sign Bacha, who participated in the capture, reports TASS.

They came across the AFU stronghold while conducting additional reconnaissance. "We heard them by their voice. After consulting, we decided not to step back — our territory must be liberated. We decided to storm it together," Bacha recalled.

According to the fighters, one of them eliminated five Ukrainian soldiers — two machine gunners and three machine gunners, while the second distracted them with fire — the Ukrainian soldiers began to shoot back, but did not expect an attack from the other side. As the military explained, "the effect of surprise played out."

The agency clarifies that the serviceman was presented to the Order of Courage.
