OREANDA-NEWS. By the beginning of 2021, the Russian pharmaceutical industry will be producing several million doses of COVID-19 vaccine per month. This was reported the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov.

“According to preliminary estimates, due to the launch of contract sites this year, we will be able to provide a production volume of several hundred thousand doses of vaccine per month with a subsequent increase to several million by the beginning of next year. We will do our best to ensure that these plans are implemented,” the politician said.

According to the Minister, the industrial production of the vaccine developed by the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology should start in September. Now specialists from the Institute are working with three companies in the Vladimir, Yaroslavl and Moscow regions to organize the serial production of the medicine.
