Russian Military in Syria Announces Turkey’s Plans to Oust Refugees to Greece
OREANDA-NEWS. According to the head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the Opposing Sides in Syria, Oleg Zhuravlev, Turkey is trying to oust more than 100 thousand refugees to the territory of Greece.
“At present, the authorities of the Republic of Turkey are driving about 130 thousand refugees who were previously in temporary camps in the area of the Turkish-Greek border towards the Greek border,” Zhuravlev said. According to the officer, there are Syrians, Afghans, Iraqis and citizens of African countries among the refugees.
Thus, Zhuravlev concluded, criticism of Syria and Russia for the millions of refugee flows and the “humanitarian crisis” from Turkey, European countries and the United States is untenable.
