OREANDA-NEWS  Russian troops have improved the situation in the Kupyansk direction, military expert, retired Lt. Colonel of the LPR Andrei Marochko told RIA Novosti.

"As a result of active hostilities over the past few days, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have leveled their advanced formations in the areas of the settlements of Sinkovka, Petropavlovsk, Peschanoe, and also destroyed an enemy stronghold in the area of the Gnilitsa River," the expert said, citing his own sources. The expert clarified that an enemy position located at a commanding height was occupied near the settlement of Stepovaya Novoselovka.
