OREANDA-NEWS. The Russian Embassy in Paris sent a note to the French Foreign Ministry with a request to unblock the situation with Russian tourists who still cannot leave the Costa Pacifica cruise ship located near Marseille. This was announced on Friday by spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

According to her, there are 35 Russian tourists on board, as well as four citizens of Belarus. “The Russian Consulate General in Marseilles, the Russian Embassy in Paris have been taking active steps for several days to work out their meeting in Marseille”, the official representative of the Russian diplomatic service emphasized. “But permission hasn't been received yet. The Russian Embassy in Paris sent a note to the French Foreign Ministry with request to unblock the situation".

Earlier, the French Foreign Ministry in connection with the situation with the coronavirus said that "French citizens and immigrants from the EU can, together with spouses and children, arrive in the national territory to return home". At the same time, "immigrants from other countries can no longer arrive in France within 30 days, but there is no ban on leaving the national territory", the report said.
