OREANDA-NEWS More than 700 business negotiations, the potential volume of which exceeds $ 70 million, took place within the framework of the Made in Russia collective exhibition with the support of the Russian Export Center (REC, part of VEB.Russia) at the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai, the center reports.
"The success of Russian exporters at CIIE 2024 confirms the effectiveness of state support and the prospects for the development of Russian-Chinese economic cooperation," the message says.
Participation in the exhibition provided Russian companies with a unique opportunity not only to present their products to a wide audience, but also to establish direct contacts with potential partners, investors and distributors.
As part of the participation of Russian companies in the exhibition, 6 agreements of intent were signed. In particular, agreements have been reached on the supply of equipment, sunflower oil, fruit and berry purees and others. Among the results of the exhibition, the Krasnodar transport and logistics company announced the opening of a branch in China.
During the work of the stand, several round tables were held, the participants of which discussed entry into the Chinese market, cultural nuances of business communication, criteria for choosing partners, requirements for supplies to the retail network, necessary certificates and promising niches. The issues of entering the Chinese market, the choice of partners, government support programs, supplier requirements and necessary certificates were also considered.
This year, with the support of the REC, 97 companies from 38 regions of Russia presented their products as part of the Made in Russia national exposition, occupying almost 1,700 square meters of exhibition space. REC has consistently supported the participation of Russian companies in CIIE since its foundation in 2018, contributing to the representation of an increasing number of manufacturers with high-quality and in-demand products. This year, a record number of companies participated with the support of the REC.
Russian companies were represented in five thematic pavilions: "Food and agricultural products", "Consumer goods", "Medicine and Healthcare", "Technology and IT" and "Services".
A significant part of the exhibitors (69 out of 97) represented the agro-industrial complex, demonstrating a wide range of food products, including confectionery and chocolate, butter, as well as popular alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
