Russian developers named the main threat to the industry

OREANDA-NEWS Russian developers consider macroeconomic instability to be the main threat to the industry, according to a survey conducted by the National Association of Housing Developers (NOZA) and the ERZ.RF portal.
"For the first time, macroeconomic instability topped the rating of the industry's problems (81% of respondents), rising from the third position it occupied in February 2024," NOZA and YERZAT said in a joint statement.
The second place among the threats, according to the survey, is still occupied by a drop in demand for new buildings (52%). According to the respondents, it is mainly caused by an increase in mortgage market rates, the abolition of mass preferential loans and other tightening measures in this area. Also among the factors mentioned are the postponement of transactions in anticipation of falling prices and lower incomes of the population.
