OREANDA-NEWS. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation takes an active part in stabilizing the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was reported by the agency on October 13.

“The Russian Defense Ministry, within its competence, takes an active part in the implementation of the initiatives of the Russian Federation for the earliest possible stabilization of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh,” the Ministry informed.

In particular, Minister Sergey Shoygu held talks with his colleagues from various countries on this issue. “The main goal of this work… is the immediate cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh and the transition to negotiations between the conflicting parties to normalize the situation in the region,” the Defense Ministry noted.

The military department also reported that Moscow is concerned about the information about the transfer of terrorists from the Middle East to the conflict area in Nagorno-Karabakh.
