OREANDA-NEWS. The Russian vaccine against coronavirus infection Sputnik V is planned to be discredited from abroad. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Major General Igor Konashenkov.

“We know in detail what funds and resources have been thrown from abroad to discredit the domestic vaccine in the world and in Russia,” the officer said. According to Konashenkov, a series of “pseudo-analytical investigations” and false testimonies about the dangers of Russian drugs or mass refusals from vaccination, including among the Russian military, are being prepared on social networks and Russian-language Internet resources funded by foreign grants.

The Ministry of Defense noted that despite the fact that vaccination is voluntary, there are no refusals to be vaccinated against coronavirus among military. According to the Ministry, more than 10 thousand servicemen have already been vaccinated.
