Russian Defense Ministry Reported of Six Cases of Firing by Militants after the Beginning of a Ceasefire in Syria
OREANDA-NEWS. In Syria, members of illegal armed groups have carried out six attacks since the beginning of a ceasefire under the Moscow agreement. This was reported by the head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria (a department of the Ministry of Defense) Oleg Zhuravlyov on March 6.
The violations of a truce were registered from 00:01 on March 6, when, by agreement of the presidents of Russia and Turkey, a ceasefire regime was introduced in the Idlib de-escalation zone.
In is known that the positions of the Syrian government army in the governorate of Latakia, as well as two settlements in the governorate of Aleppo, were fired by militants. The information about killed or wounded people has not been given yet.
The Russian side called on the commanders of illegal armed groups to abandon the provocations and choose the path to a peaceful settlement.
