OREANDA-NEWS. The head of Russian Ministry of Defense, Sergey Shoygu, stated that NATO is working on the implementation of a new anti-Russian concept to increase the combat readiness of troops.

According to him, it is the US anti-Russian initiative “four by thirty” which means 30-day readiness of 30 mechanized battalions, 30 air squadrons and 30 warships. Shoygu said that as of December 1 of this year, NATO has reached full completeness of the land component, 76 % of air part of the concept and 93 % of naval part.

Russian military also expect that the time period for preparing to use nuclear weapons by aircraft will be reduced from 10 days to 24 hours. In addition, Shoygu said that American air defense radars were deployed in the Baltic states, and they allow to control the airspace of Russia to a depth of 450 kilometers.

According to the Minister of Defense, the implementation of the concept will be completed in 2022.
