Russian customs switched to paper after the hacker attack

OREANDA-NEWS A day after the beginning of the hacker attack, specialists of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia cannot fully restore the operation of the Unified Information System of Customs Authorities (UIS TO), failures are still observed. This is reported by Vedomosti with reference to the statement of the representative of the department.
According to him, at present, inspectors at border checkpoints have temporarily switched to operations using paper media. The problems relate only to the transportation of goods, the situation does not prevent individuals from crossing the border.
The FCS asked in case of problems at checkpoints to contact the hotlines of regional customs administrations. The interlocutor of the publication did not name possible terms for restoring the system, but stressed that the problem is being solved.
At the end of March, the French TV channel BFMTV reported that the website of the French parliament temporarily stopped working due to an attack by pro-Russian hackers. Before that, in mid-February, hackers from the pro-Russian group Killnet confessed to hacking the IT system of one of Europe's largest airlines Lufthansa, which led to a large-scale failure.
