OREANDA-NEWS  Rostov-on-Don topped the ranking of Russian cities with the largest increase in new buildings. Izvestia writes about the leaders in construction in the country, citing a study by the Movement agency.<url>" and the DEVISION company.

The number of new construction projects in Rostov-on-Don has increased by 34 percent over the past year. By the end of 2024, Kazan and Ufa also demonstrated the best indicators — in these cities, the area of current construction increased by 32 and 30 percent, respectively. The volume of construction in Yekaterinburg, Khabarovsk, Tyumen, Vladivostok and Perm increased by 20-30 percent.

The fewest projects in 2024 were launched in Krasnodar (the indicator dropped by 7.1 percent), Samara (8.8 percent) and Izhevsk (11.7 percent). In St. Petersburg, construction volumes decreased by 21 percent. At the same time, construction areas in the Northern Capital have been declining for four years in a row.

Earlier it became known in which cities of Russia the rent of rooms has risen the most. Kazan turned out to be the leader of the top — there the rates rose by 47 percent, to 15.8 thousand rubles per month. Volgograd and Omsk are next.
