Russian Authorities Offered to Extend Monetary Incentives for Vaccinations Throughout the Country
OREANDA-NEWS. The leader of the Fair Russia - For the Truth party, Sergei Mironov, proposed to spread the campaign on monetary incentives for vaccination throughout the country, and to extend it not only to pensioners, but also to other low-income categories of the population. This was reported on Tuesday by the party's press service.
Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that since April 27, Muscovites over 60 years old who have received the first coronavirus vaccination can receive a gift card with a face value of 1000 points and spend this amount under the Million Prizes program.
Sergei Mironov said that this is "a very timely and correct initiative of the city authorities, which helps to solve two important tasks at once. Firstly, it is the expansion of vaccination among the elderly, who are most susceptible to a dangerous disease, and, secondly, it will increase, albeit in negligible extent of their income. "
He is sure that this example should be followed by other regions of Russia, and the list of participants can be expanded at the expense of low-income citizens. He noted that the federal center, for its part, should provide the regions with a sufficient amount of vaccines and make vaccination as convenient as possible.
The parliamentarian said: "I am sure that the action will be a good test of the regional authorities for effective work with the business community. Private companies should be interested in it, because the funds allocated for it are a good advertising ploy and guaranteed target consumer demand."
