OREANDA-NEWS Over the past day, the Russian air defense systems shot down a Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet, 40 drones, 12 ATACMS missiles, and 45 HIMARS MLRS shells, among other targets, according to the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense on Wednesday.

The press release stated that the air defense systems had shot down a MiG-29 aircraft from the Ukrainian air force, 40 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), four HARM anti-radiation missiles manufactured by the United States, 12 ATACMS tactical missiles manufactured in the United States, and Tochka-U missiles, as well as 45 HIMARS rockets made in the US, Uragan, and Alder missiles.

Since the start of the special operation, a total of 597 Ukrainian warplanes, 274 helicopters, 24,086 drones, 521 air defense systems, 16,035 tanks, 9,595 artillery pieces, 2,172 field guns, and 21,728 vehicles have been eliminated.
