OREANDA-NEWS. From midnight on March 20, Russia restricts air traffic with the United States, Britain and the United Arab Emirates. The corresponding order was issued by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

“The Russian Ministry of Transport should ensure that from 00:00 on March 20, 2020 Moscow time, a temporary restriction on passenger transportation from the Russian Federation to the territory of the United Kingdom, the United States of America, the United Arab Emirates and vice versa”, the document says.

Exceptions will be made only for a few scheduled flights via Terminal F Sheremetyevo and charter flights for the return of tourists. In particular, flights to the United States are only available to New York and vice versa. Now Aeroflot also flies to Miami, Washington, San Francisco and Los Angeles. With the UAE, air communication will be supported only through Abu Dhabi (now air communication is also supported with Dubai Airport).

Direct flights with the UK are now only supported via London (as shown by ScyScanner, flights are operated in particular by WizzAir, Ural Airlines and S7) from Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo airports. On behalf of the government, flights should be limited to Sheremetyevo Airport.
