Russia will develop measures to stabilize prices for grain transportation

OREANDA-NEWS The Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia will develop measures to stabilize prices for grain transportation and prepare a mechanism for regulating the cost of transport services. This is reported by RBC.
It is noted that the rise in the price of logistics against the background of falling prices during the record harvest affects the profitability of production among farmers and food security of the state.
The issues were discussed at an interdepartmental meeting held by the head of the Ministry of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev on March 24. According to its results, the FAS should promptly assess the price situation in the market of transport services in the field of agricultural products, the Ministry of Transport together with the Ministry of Agriculture will prepare proposals on regulatory mechanisms within two weeks.
Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Agriculture, together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Federal Antimonopoly Service, are working to extend the ban on the export of fertilizers. At a government meeting, Dmitry Patrushev admitted that the restrictions would remain in place until November.
