OREANDA-NEWS Russian experts are developing a camouflage suit that blurs the silhouette and makes military personnel invisible to thermal imagers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). HiderX told TASS about this.
It is noted that the suit blurs the silhouette of a person, shielding the ambient temperature from the object. The fabrics are covered with a special composition, the features of which are not disclosed. The organization stressed that the product is based on completely Russian technology.
The interlocutor of the agency stressed that the well-known models of camouflage clothing do not allow to completely hide a person. "We have learned how to mask an object from a thermal imager, hiding its thermal signature, our products are successfully used in special forces. At the same time, when a fighter puts on a camouflage suit, raincoat, and so on, he is in any case visible as an unnatural object. Thermal imagers see how his silhouette shimmers, shields. We've been struggling with this phenomenon for a long time and have been working on a product that kind of blurred the silhouette," he said.
In April 2023, the Russian company Alfa-K introduced the Bogomol-Z stealth suit, which allows snipers to hide from enemy thermal imagers.
