OREANDA-NEWS Russia is developing its own long-haul aircraft, its creation is planned for 2028-2030. This was announced in an interview with RIA Novosti by Deputy Prime Minister - Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.

According to him, work on the wide-body long-haul aircraft was carried out with partners from China and it will continue, changes will be made to the bilateral project.

In addition, Russia is also creating its own liner project: the Zhukovsky Research Institute is researching new technologies and determining the appearance, the minister said.

Answering the question about the start of the liner's flights, Manturov clarified that we are talking about the dates after 2030. "Perhaps in the period 2028-2030, but definitely not before," he added.

Earlier it was reported that the Russian airline Aeroflot and the state corporation Rosatom have imported air filters for foreign-made aircraft. As part of a joint project, the production of parts for air supply systems in the cabin was mastered. Aeroflot reported that they plan to expand the range of import-substituted components.
