OREANDA-NEWS  Russia's gold reserves reached a record $207.7 billion in October, according to data from the Central Bank.

So, last month, Russia's investments in gold increased by almost four percent, updating the record set in September at 199.8 billion.

The share of gold in Russian gold and foreign exchange reserves increased from 31.5 percent a month earlier to 32.9. This was a new high since November 1999: then the share of this precious metal was 34 percent.

The maximum share of gold was observed on January 1, 1993 - at the level of 56.9 percent, and the minimum — in June 2007: only 2.1 percent.

Earlier today, the Central Bank reported that Russia's international reserves as of the morning of November 1 fell to $631.6 billion from $633.7 billion on October 1.
