OREANDA-NEWS  The information that the United States secretly transferred ATACMS missiles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) was not a secret for Russian specialists, said Dmitry Novikov, first Deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs. So in a conversation with Lenta.

"What has now become the subject of publicity in this part was not a secret for Russian experts. Even without having any confidential information, analysts in the field of international relations, in the field of studying military-industrial complexes, have repeatedly publicly suggested that there is already a whole system of work to support the Ukrainian regime, which includes the supply of certain types of weapons," Novikov said.

According to the parliamentarian, the legalization of supplies takes place after sending military aid.

"[It is] confirming the expediency and necessity to implement such tasks at the level of the parliaments of the countries and preparing public opinion for the fact that it is necessary, important and correct to do this. As a result, when a public decision is made and announced, it turns out that in fact this is just bringing the situation to the actual one. That is, everything has already taken place, and steps are being taken to notify everyone," he explained.
