Russia is Going to Cancel Mandatory Tests for COVID-19 Before Hospitalization
OREANDA-NEWS. According to the Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Kamkin, the Ministry of Health intends to cancel mandatory testing for coronavirus before hospitalization. According to the current rules, the analysis must be done 7 days before going to the hospital.
According to the deputy minister, there is no need for testing in the absence of symptoms of the virus. Kamkin also noted that the patient, in any case, will be able to take a coronavirus test in any way available to the organization, as reported by Russia 24.
For those who are going to do a coronavirus test, it is advisable to read about the common mistakes when taking an analysis for COVID-19, which virologists warn about, in which the analysis can show a false-positive or false-negative result. Before testing, patients should not smoke, drink water or blow their nose, experts say. In addition, providers must follow the procedure and choose the timing of collection.
Since the beginning of November, a robotic service for notifying patients about the results of the coronavirus test has been launched in the Tomsk region, as reported by the press service of the regional administration. It is specified that the robot only reports a negative test result to the patient's contact phone number. And the staff of the polyclinics will continue to inform the patients about the positive result.
