OREANDA-NEWS Tver State Technical University (TvSTU) has patented an air defense system (air defense) to combat miniature drones. This follows from the description of the patent, reports TASS.
It is noted that the utility model refers to complexes for combating low-flying low-altitude and low-speed light-class drones. In the abstract to the invention, it is written that the product is made in the form of a multi-barrel pyrotechnic launcher that allows missiles to be placed. It is mounted on a rotary-inclined table with a wick ignition system.
"The rotary-inclined table is equipped with at least two extendable rods fixed on its inclined platform. Additional blocks of high—altitude destruction of miniature unmanned vehicles are fixed at the ends of the retractable rods," the document says.
In August, it became known that specialists from the Military Academy of Strategic Missile Forces had created an unmanned complex to counter micro and mini-drones. The inventors propose to counteract the work of enemy drones by, in particular, jamming their electric motors using sand, plastic shavings or metal sawdust."
