OREANDA-NEWS The Russian government has increased the availability of free social services by expanding the list of incomes that will not be taken into account when assessing need. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Labor.

The Agency suggested that some lump-sum and targeted payments should not be taken into account. In addition, the income from the work of Russians with disabilities living in social hospitals and the means of a social contract will not be taken into account.

The ministry also noted that when calculating income for each family member, the applicant, spouse and minor children, as well as children under the age of 23, will be taken into account if they are studying full-time.

Earlier, Russian Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov said that insurance pensions for working and non-working pensioners in February 2025 will be additionally increased to the level of actual inflation in 2024.

On December 16, it was reported that for a number of reasons, some Russians may face a reduction in their pensions. This is possible due to unpaid taxes, alimony, fines, or loans.
