OREANDA-NEWS Moscow has added 54 British citizens to the "stop list" as a response to London's policy, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
"In response to the aggressive implementation by London of a hostile anti-Russian course, in which the mechanism of unilateral sanctions against citizens of our country and domestic economic operators is actively applied, it was decided to expand the Russian "stop list" by including representatives of the political establishment, law enforcement agencies, the professional legal community and the British journalism corps (54 in total a person)," says a comment on the agency's website.
In particular, the list includes Lucy Fraser, the Minister for Culture, Media and Sports of Great Britain, lobbying for international sports isolation of Russia, and Annabel Goldie, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Great Britain. as well as the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court.
Also, functionaries and correspondents of British media representing such media structures as the BBC, Guardian Media Group and Daily Telegraph were sanctioned, the Russian ministry noted.
"We would like to emphasize once again that any efforts by London to further unwind the anti-Russian sanctions flywheel will inevitably receive a decisive rebuff from our side. Work on expanding the Russian "stop list" in response to the actions of the British authorities will continue," the Foreign Ministry stressed.
