OREANDA-NEWS The Russian authorities have begun to work out measures to combat the personnel shortage in the country. One of the initiatives under consideration is the possibility of increasing the number of days of overtime in a row, Vedomosti newspaper reports, citing sources.
A similar measure was proposed, in particular, in the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP). Currently, the Labor Code (TC) allows processing for 4 hours for two consecutive days, that is, for 12 hours a day. Marina Moskvina, Managing Director of the Department of Labor Market and Social Partnership of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, stated that such an initiative would increase flexibility in the use of working hours, and in some cases reduce the need for new staff.
In turn, the Ministry of Economic Development (Mineka) reported that they are considering a measure to increase labor productivity at Russian enterprises through greater automation of work processes. Another option is to reduce barriers to employment for citizens. Delovaya Rossiya said that it had sent a number of measures to combat the personnel shortage in the country back in late February. We are talking about initiatives related, among other things, to subsidizing the modernization of enterprises, as well as attracting pensioners and teenagers to work.
