OREANDA-NEWS  Moscow has already condemned the assassination attempt on US presidential candidate Donald Trump and outlined its position on the incident, Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Earlier, the Kremlin said that Russia has always condemned any manifestations of violence during the political struggle. Peskov also noted that the atmosphere created by the current US administration around ex-President Donald Trump provoked an attack on him and it was obvious that his life was in danger. "Yesterday we outlined our vision in general, assessed what happened, condemned, among other things, of course, this attack. There was a statement yesterday," Peskov told reporters in response to a question about Putin's reaction to the assassination attempt. Trump on Saturday interrupted a public appearance in Pennsylvania because of the shooting. The video shows the politician being led away by security guards, his ear is bloody. Later, Trump said that he was wounded in the ear and lost a lot of blood. The US Secret Service said it had eliminated the suspect, who fired several times towards the stage. One of the spectators was killed in the shooting, two more were injured.

Later, the FBI said that an attempt had been made on Trump, while the bureau was not ready to reveal the identity of the suspect and name his motives. According to the FBI, the US authorities did not know in advance about the preparation of the crime. Local media reports that the suspect is 20–year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks from Pennsylvania, the state where the rally took place. As the journalists clarified, he was hiding on the roof of a production building about 100 meters from the stage – outside the territory where the event was held.
