OREANDA-NEWS. In January - October 2019, imports of goods from non-CIS countries to Russia decreased by 1.2% compared to the same period in 2018, to $ 172.8 billion. These statistics are provided by the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of the Russian Federation. At the same time, in October, the value of imports of goods from non-CIS countries decreased by 3.7% compared to the previous month and amounted to 17.17 billion dollars, the agency said.

In October, imports of chemical products in the Russian Federation decreased by 11.7% compared with September and reached $ 3.25 billion, textiles and footwear - by 7.1% to $ 1.09 billion. Import of engineering products decreased by 0.8%, to $ 8.63 billion. At the same time, according to the Federal Customs Service, the import of food products and raw materials for their production in the Russian Federation increased by 5.3% to $ 1.83 billion.

At the same time, in September of this year, the value of imports of goods from non-CIS countries decreased by 5.4% compared to the previous month and amounted to $ 17.77 billion, the agency said.
