OREANDA-NEWS  Russia and Tajikistan have seriously expanded the range of areas of cooperation, many industries have a foundation for further development. Dmitry Volvach, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, told reporters on Thursday at the conference "Business and Investment Partnership of Russia and Tajikistan" in Dushanbe.

"To date, the range of areas in which our countries cooperate has expanded very seriously. This includes education, technology, and medicine, this is the development of the agricultural sector, but in the direction of processing, this is mechanical engineering," he listed.

"A lot of industries have gained ground for further development," Volvach stated. In his opinion, there is also a serious potential for the development of the tourism sector.

More than 20 documents on cooperation in scientific, technical, industrial, educational and other fields have already been signed at the conference in Dushanbe. Representatives of more than 100 companies are taking part in the forum from the Russian side. The events are taking place within the framework of the visit of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to Tajikistan.
