OREANDA-NEWS The Russian and Chinese authorities have agreed to update the list of significant projects. This was stated by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov during a meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Chinese Commission on Investment Cooperation.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the total number of initiatives is more than 60, and the volume of investments will amount to more than $ 138 billion.
Manturov stressed that by the end of last year, the mutual trade turnover increased by almost 25 percent and amounted to $ 228 billion. Over 90 percent of mutual settlements are implemented in national currencies, the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
Earlier it was reported that the United States may impose sanctions against China in the coming weeks for trade with Russia. Prior to that, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that Russia had ensured the successful operation of the military-industrial complex (MIC), despite the sanctions. He also noted that the Russian side, in an effort to avoid restrictions, "has found workarounds, in particular, in its relations with North Korea, Iran and, unfortunately, with China."
