OREANDA-NEWS The situation with wage debts has changed significantly in Russia. This was stated by the head of the Federal Service for Labor and Employment (Rostrud) Mikhail Ivankov. He is quoted by TASS.

According to him, over the past five years, wage arrears in Russia have decreased sevenfold. At the same time, most of the incidents were caused by technical reasons.

"[Salary debts] amount to about one thousandth of the fund," Ivankov said.

In March, salary debts in Russia decreased by 23.1 percent per month, or by 100.2 million rubles. As of April 1, the total wage arrears of enterprises decreased to 333.3 million rubles. A year ago, this figure reached 415.7 million rubles.

In addition, real salaries of Russians in June 2024 increased by 6.2 percent year-on-year and by 2.5 percent when compared with the figures of the last month of spring.
