OREANDA-NEWS Andrey Ryumin, CEO of ROSSETI, and Dubravka Djedovic-Handanovic, Minister of Mining and Energy of Serbia, discussed at a meeting in Belgrade the operation of the grid complexes of Serbia and Russia in the context of a change in the energy balance towards a greater share of renewable energy sources (RES) generation, the company reports.

"Minister of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia Dubravka Djedovic-Handanovic and CEO of PJSC ROSSETI Andrey Ryumin at a meeting in Belgrade discussed the operation of grid complexes of the Republic of Serbia and the Russian Federation in terms of energy transition and changes in the energy balance towards a larger share of renewable generation," the message says.

The parties discussed the continuation of cooperation in the energy sector, the training of qualified personnel for the industry, and opportunities for the implementation of joint innovative projects, Rosseti said. It was noted at the meeting that the energy sector is currently undergoing a transformation stage - new technologies are emerging, consumer demands are changing. The current tasks are to ensure the growing demand for electricity and the development of digital services, the company added.
