OREANDA-NEWS. Russians will be able to fly abroad when there is no or minimal risk of coronavirus spreading. This was told by the head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova.
«When the risks are minimal. When there is no risk of the disease spreading, then it will be possible to open up the borders and launch international flights,» Popova explained in an interview with a journalist for «Russia 24», part of which is published in her Telegram channel.
The head of Rospotrebnadzor added that when there were a small number of infected people in the country, as in February and early March, it was possible to cope with this, but when there are a lot of cases, the risk of spread increases.
Earlier Anna Popova warned the Russians that the incidence of coronavirus infection in Russia is declining, but the risk of a second wave of the epidemic remains.
In late 2019, an outbreak of SARS was recorded in China. The new 2019-nCoV virus began to spread rapidly: within three months, the disease had spread to more than 160 countries and the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the Coronavirus a pandemic on 11 March. This has entailed strict restrictions in all spheres of life, including the complete closure of borders in all countries of the world.
