OREANDA-NEWS  The strain of influenza A(H1N1)-2009 or swine flu prevails among the identified variants of the influenza virus in the Russian Federation, it has already been recorded in 55 regions. This was reported in the press service of Rospotrebnadzor following a conference call.

"Among the findings of influenza viruses, strain A(H1N1)-2009 prevails, the so-called swine flu, which has already been detected in 55 subjects of the Russian Federation," the report says.

The ministry said that the incidence of SARS and influenza in Russia increased by 18.5% in a week.
