Roskomnadzor Proposes to Recognize Radical Feminism and Child-Free As Extremism in Russia
OREANDA-NEWS. Andrey Tsyganov, chairman of the commission for the protection of children from destructive content under Roskomnadzor (RKN), suggested recognizing LGBT (gay and transgender) movements, radical feminism (a movement aimed at empowering women) and child-free (ideology characterized by a conscious desire not to to have children) as extremism in Russia. TASS reports about it.
This statement was made by Tsyganov at the Coordination meeting of the Parents' Chamber in Moscow, which was attended by more than 200 delegates from the State Duma, Federation Council, etc.
According to him, these movements must be recognized at least as extremist in order to "untie the hands" of law enforcement officers - Roskomnadzor, etc.
Tsyganov believes that this will help protect children and adolescents living in Russia from the influence of destructive content on social networks and the Internet.
Earlier it was reported that the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, said that representatives of modern youth are completely indifferent to the problems of loved ones, moral guidelines and traditional values are blurred. According to him, some resources on the Internet and social networks are a source of violence and destructivism for this category of the population.
