OREANDA-NEWS Russian forces, while repelling two attacks by the Ukrainian army in the area of the settlement of Workino in the Zaporozhye direction, destroyed 10 units of enemy armored vehicles. This was reported to TASS by the chairman of the movement "We are together with Russia" Vladimir Rogov.
"Fighting has sharply intensified in the area between the settlements of Workino and Verbovoye. <...> There were two attacks today, they were all repelled, enemy armored vehicles were destroyed. At the moment, it is known about 10 destroyed units of equipment. IFVs, armored personnel carriers and armored fighting vehicles," Rogov said. According to him, after the destruction of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian army soldiers retreated to the forest belts, where Russian multiple rocket launchers and artillery are firing at them.
"Apparently, the enemy is trying to expand the neck of this fire bag between the settlements of Rabodino and Verbovoye, bearing more and more losses, but doing it, to put it mildly, unsuccessfully," Rogov added.
On Tuesday, the acting governor of the Zaporozhye region Yevgeny Balitsky announced the destruction of a column of armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Work. According to him, the enemy tried to attack the villages of Novopokrovka and Ilchenkovo located to the south and southeast of this settlement.
As reported in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Ukrainian army has been making unsuccessful attempts to attack since June 4. On September 12, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had lost 71.5 thousand servicemen, 543 tanks and almost 18 thousand armored vehicles of various classes during this time. According to the head of state, the Ukrainian counteroffensive has no results.
