OREANDA-NEWS. The spread of a new coronavirus will continue until at least June of this year. This was stated by the head of the special commission to combat the epidemic of the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China, Zhong Nanshan.

According to the epidemiologist, to prevent the spread of the virus, it is necessary to strengthen sanitary control at the borders and establish strict quarantine measures regarding visitors from foreign regions affected by the epidemic.

At present, more than 100 countries have reported of cases of coronavirus infecting in their territories. The total number of cases worldwide amounted to more than 109 thousand people, over 3.8 thousand patients died from complications caused by infection. The largest numbers were registered in China, South Korea, Italy and Iran.
