OREANDA-NEWS The Russian Export Center  selected Hangzhou Baiyin Digital Technology Co., Ltd. as the operator of the flagship national store of Russian goods on the popular Chinese Douyin platform (TikTok in China), the center reports.

"This cooperation opens up new opportunities for the promotion of domestic products in one of the largest markets in the world," the message says.

Now REC, together with Hangzhou Baiyin Digital Technology Co., Ltd., will begin to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy for the store and select Russian companies whose products will be presented on virtual shelves.

"The official launch of the store will be timed to coincide with a large–scale REC campaign to promote Russian products on the day of the Chinese holiday of Qixijie, an analogue of Valentine's Day, which is celebrated in China on August 10. To attract buyers, a series of streams (live broadcasts) will be held with the involvement of Chinese bloggers. It is expected that it will offer a wide range of products from at least 50 Russian manufacturers," the message adds.

The flagship national store is a collective online store of Russian goods, which operates on an electronic trading platform and is promoted under a single brand "Made in Russia". It has the official status of a country store from the platform itself. National stores are an important tool for Russian exporters seeking to expand their presence in international markets. Today, the Made in Russia store chain has 36 national stores on 14 marketplaces. There are over 2,500 products from more than 800 manufacturers. Confectionery, groceries, dairy products, beverages, cosmetics, dietary supplements and products for children are especially popular with foreign buyers.
"Douyin, a short video sharing service known outside China as TikTok, is available to almost every modern Chinese. The app has an active and paying audience. This makes the platform an ideal place to promote Russian goods. In this regard, the launch of the flagship national store on Douyin opens up new prospects for Russian exporters, helping to strengthen Russia's position in the international e-commerce arena," said Alexey Murzenok, Director of International Partner Programs at REC.
