OREANDA-NEWS Russia is helping Mongolia cope with the consequences of climate change problems, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with Mongolian leader Ukhnaagiin Khurelsuh.

The talks are taking place on Wednesday on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Kazakhstan. "If necessary, especially if Mongolia is facing problems based on climate change, we try to provide gratuitous assistance," Putin said.

On the morning of July 3, the President of the Russian Federation flew to Astana to participate in the SCO summit. The event will be held under the slogan "Strengthening multilateral dialogue - striving for sustainable peace and development".
