OREANDA-NEWS President Vladimir Putin supported the transfer of the state package of the United Shipbuilding Corporation to the trust management of VTB. He announced this at a meeting with the head of VTB Andrey Kostin.

"The government has come out with a proposal to transfer a state stake in the United Shipbuilding Corporation to VTB. I support this proposal, I know that they talked about it with you," the president said.

Speaking about the situation at USC, Putin noted that the company has a lot of problems, "but it is a working structure and generally gaining momentum in this work."

"Yes, there are issues that require special attention, including from the bank's specialists. This is due to calculations, to the financial recovery of the company. Everything, of course, cannot be done without the support of the Government, and such support, of course, must be provided by the Government. I really hope that your specialists, they have proven their high professional level, will cope with all these tasks. Of course, this is, without any exaggeration, a challenge, it's serious, it's a whole industry," the president said.
