OREANDA-NEWS  Vladimir Putin, by his decree, granted the petition of businessman Ruben Vardanyan to renounce Russian citizenship.

In September, Vardanyan announced his renunciation of Russian citizenship and moved to Nagorno-Karabakh. In early November, he became the prime minister of the unrecognized republic.

Vardanyan is the president of the investment company "Vardanyan, Broitman and Partners", co—founder of the RVVZ Foundation family Foundation and the Moscow School of Management "Skolkovo". Forbes estimates Vardanyan's fortune at $1 billion, he was on the 116th place in the ranking of Russian billionaires. Before moving to Karabakh, he transferred all his assets in Russia under the management of partners.
