OREANDA-NEWS Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting on the development of certain areas of the transport complex said that the domestic economy in the new conditions will be open, TASS reports. The head of state added that it is even possible to expand cooperation with other countries.
Under the new conditions, the economy will be open, moreover, we will expand cooperation with those countries that are ready for this, the agency quotes Putin.
Putin added that the actions of some countries, their desire to close themselves off from Russia, even to their own detriment, showed how important it is in the modern world to diversify traffic flows, expand ranges in the direction of predictable, responsible partners.
Since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, many Western companies have suspended their work in Russia and stopped supplying goods to the country. The suspension of activities, in particular, was reported by logistics and transport companies, including DHL, UPS, FedEx.
In the fifth package of anti-Russian sanctions, the EU banned the transport of road transport operators from the Russian Federation and Belarus on its territory, excluding medical and food products. Food manufacturers asked the Russian government not to block the entry of trucks from Europe in response, as the food industry is already feeling the consequences of restrictions and may be completely left without imported ingredients.
